I’ve worked in communications since 1996, to include work as a journalist, for state and federal government, as a private consultant, and for the world’s largest environmental non-profit organization. Over the course of my career, I’ve developed a wide range of skills–from strategic comms planning and web and video production to media relations and writing of all sorts. I’ve supervised staff in several positions, and close collaboration–with my team and other colleagues as well as with partners from corporations, government, associations, other non-profits, communication firms and independent contractors–has always been an underlying theme of my success.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to break down concepts that can be difficult to grasp, such as scientific papers, and then explain them in easy-to-understand and engaging ways by using media (copy, photos, graphics, video, etc.) that works best and meets budget constraints.
